Suffering the devastating LOSS of a child or children can lead to both mothers and fathers feeling lost and alone in our grief. I KNOW because I feel that way at times. That's the time that I really have to put my faith and trust in God alone and know that He will never leave Me or abandon Me or You. In our moments of despair, we can find joy in God's promise that one day we will be reunited with our loved ones in Heaven , and until then we can uplift each other with Hope.
A Mother's Cries Foundation offers connection with other mothers and families who have experienced the death of a child or children, no matter what the cause. The loss and grief do not change, whether caused by an accident, a drunk driver, a sudden illness, a miscarraige, a stillborn, a suicide, gun violence or a long-term debilitating disease. When we share our stories today, it helps us all to heal.
Hello. My name is Tiralynn Spears, the founder of A Mother's Cries Foundation. I lost my only daughter Jamela (that is her on the right) to a drunk driver that never went to jail. As a mother, we never think about burying our children before us. So it was something I never thought I would go through.
A Mother's Cries Foundation was founded out of lots of tears and pain. I know, with God, He has turned my pain into purpose, to support other mothers just like me, and I know with Him and each other's help we will keep pressing.
My intention is that A Mother's Cries Foundation will become a base where mothers can collectively remember, honor and share the beauty, and light that was their children, receive comfort, healing, refreshing and make connections for other necessary resources as well as bring community awareness.
Want Help and Comfort to Heal ?
We are starting Mother's Support Groups to give mothers a safe place to be heard and validated by their peers, to deal with their grief and pain.
We aim to establish a broad-based Mother's Support Network for mothers with emotional and mental traumas of losing a child or children so they can heal.
We want to provide Mother's Respite and in-person refreshing times for mothers that are overwhelmed and in need of comfort.
We are developing downloadable materials to aid in helathy grieving and healing, and stand to serve as a Mother's Clearing House for distributing beneficial information and resources impacting mothers, children and families.
Presently we meet on ZOOM twice monthly, on the 2nd & 4th Saturdays
10:00- 11:00 a.m. PT / 1:00-2:00 p.m. ET
